The horrible ending that needs to be plugged

The ending that was nauseating

The ending of How I Met Your Mother is portrayed as a twist ending and one that contradicted the character development of the show to deliver an ending that the writers that had set in stone years ago. They built a mountain and had dropped us right from the cliff, we were hurt so badly by it we weren't able to recover from it and have been scarred since. The question now is were they planning it and we didn't realise it or they did it just so abruptly we fell from the cliff and haven't been able to recover from it ever since. 

Our instinct is going to be thinking they had intended to get us fall off the cliff without us noticing, but thinking back I have come to the realization they had intended to do this to us all along. I'm going to recount the events of the show to show how they had been intending on doing this to us all along, with the revelation that they had been doing this to us all along we can finally be angry with ourselves that they had been taking us on this ride all along, so we can be angry we got on to this ride in the first place to begin with. 

I'd like to disect the story into four parts:

• Scenes that absolutely didn't have anything to with the ending 
• Robin's true colours
• Robin and Barney were the awesome couple split up unfairly 
• Robin and Ted were just too forced as couple and wouldn't work 
• How could the show have been made better
